Hello there! 👋
This is Vidya from Next Side Project. The aim of launching this really cool website is to address three pain points that Data Science beginners and enthusiasts are facing today.
Do you resonate with any of these questions below:
Running out of ideas for your next Data Science & ML Project?
Does your resume contain out-of-date Data Science projects?
Are you trying to solve everything on your own?
If you answered yes to at least one of them, then you’re in the right place!
This is our very first issue and I’d like to add some value to you right away.
Here are 3 projects for this week that you can work on and explore:
AI on Thanos Tweets, Emotion Detector using torchMoji | by Michelangiolo Mazzeschi
In this project, you’ll learn how to use a Deep Learning NLP library called torchMoji and summarize a given text (or tweets) into Emojis. Now, who wouldn’t want to take their Sentiment Analysis Project to the next level with a twist? 😉
Build a web-app to serve a deep learning model for skin cancer detection | by Abhishek Thakur
Learn how to build an End-To-End Deep Learning model to detect skin cancer from the World’s first 4X Kaggle Grandmaster himself! In this tutorial, you’ll be using Flask along with jinja2 and Bootstrap to deploy the model.
Texthero is a python toolkit to work with text-based datasets quickly and effortlessly. Texthero is very simple to learn and designed to be used on top of Pandas. A really well-documented Open-Source project to quickly start your NLP journey.
In the coming weeks, I’ll be adding more sections dedicated to bringing you the latest libraries, trending news on Data Science and AI, and other resources that will help you build your resume one project at a time and make you more aware of what’s happening in Data Science world. Expect this Newsletter to be delivered to your inboxes every Saturday GMT 03:00 AM (i.e., IST 08:00 AM).
Do you have a cool project that you want to showcase to the world? If so, please submit your project so that I can give a shoutout to the Data Science community on LinkedIn (1300+ connections) and Twitter (250+ Followers).
Other updates and features I’m working on:
Creating a Discord Server so the authors of the projects can clarify any doubts students would be having and explain things in detail in case someone has a doubt. A chance for you to become a mentor or find a mentor!
Trello Roadmap on the Navigation Bar.
More resources and updates on Data Science and AI to include in the weekly Newsletter.
Trying to contact Leaders in the Data Science field and get their interviews or their suggestions.
Reach out to more people to spread the word about this growing community of Data Scientists.
If this post was forwarded to you, you might want to subscribe to our future posts.

Next Side Project is free, but not cheap. If you’d like to support me or the work I’m doing, perhaps, you could buy me a coffee? ☕🙂
